Our History
For over 114 years, the Zion Conservatory of Music has been an integral part of the musical and artistic fabric of northeastern Lake County. Thousands of students have participated in musical programs over the years in numerous areas of music discipline – piano, voice, string instruments, percussion, guitar and more.
Students of all ages for years have gained tremendous benefits from learning to play instruments, joining voices with others in choirs, and the discipline of regular practice.

The Conservatory operates as a music school, with faculty, regular public performance opportunities through recitals and fundraisers, and a sense of belonging to an organization with structured curriculum and goals to enhance every student’s life through expression of and engagement in music.

We also offer lessons in an educational environment with classrooms filled throughout the week with sounds of students making music. What a joy it is to walk down the halls and hear the musical activity emanating from the rooms.

We offer regular recitals in our arts auditorium so students can share their musical talents with others from the benefit of a stage.
